Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient health history, take vital signs, and record patient information into the electronic medical record system.
  • Optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by ensuring necessary supplies, equipment, and tools are readily available.
  • Collect blood draws and urine samples as ordered by medical providers, in accordance with state statutes.
  • Assist with data management in the electronic medical record system, as directed by physicians.
  • Sterilize and clean instruments used in examinations, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Respond to telephone requests, providing routine information and escalating to medical providers when necessary.
  • Maintain medical supplies and equipment in treatment rooms, performing daily inventory and requisitioning as needed.
  • Protect patient confidentiality by maintaining the confidentiality of personal medical information.
  • Maintain operations by following established policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Equivalent to four years of high school or GED, with at least six months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to travel to other clinics as required.
  • BLS Certification required.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
