Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive philanthropic strategy aligned with the hospital's mission and strategic goals.
  • Lead all fundraising activities, including major gifts, planned giving, corporate partnerships, and special events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with major donors, foundations, and key stakeholders to maximize philanthropic support.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Trustees and other volunteer leadership to engage in fundraising efforts and advocacy.
  • Oversee a team of fundraising professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure goals are met and exceeded.
  • Direct capital campaigns and fundraising drives, setting clear objectives, timelines, and benchmarks for success.
  • Work closely with hospital leadership, including physicians, administrators, and program directors, to identify funding priorities and opportunities for support.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field is required. Master's degree preferred. CFRE certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of years of progressive experience in fundraising and philanthropy, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Significant healthcare or community service experience and an understanding of the principles of fundraising are essential. Extensive experience working with an engaged board and volunteers.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing major gifts and managing comprehensive fundraising campaigns.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective philanthropic strategies.
  • Strong understanding of philanthropic trends, best practices, and ethical standards.
