About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and creative Framing Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, creating memorable framing solutions, and maintaining a safe and clean store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized customer service, building relationships with customers and helping them find the perfect framing solution.
  • Operate framing equipment, including glass cutters and heat presses, to create custom framing solutions.
  • Maintain a high level of quality and productivity in framing orders, meeting deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Assist with visual merchandising, including creating visually appealing displays and maintaining a well-organized store environment.
  • Support shrink and safety programs, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes, ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management.
  • Operate cash registers and execute cash handling procedures, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist customers with product location and provide solutions to meet their needs.
  • Support omnichannel processes, ensuring seamless customer experiences across all channels.
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills and measuring skills.
  • Ability to operate framing equipment and glass cutters.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail experience.
  • Experience selling products and/or services to customers.
Work Environment
  • Public retail store setting, with a focus on customer service and visual merchandising.
  • Climate-controlled store environment, with some stock rooms and outdoor areas.
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and frames, and access high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
