Position Overview:
As a Geotechnical Project Manager I, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of geotechnical reports through collaborative analysis and recommendations with experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of comprehensive geotechnical reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
- Oversee construction materials testing (CMT) projects, including daily report evaluations, issue resolution, and training of field personnel.
- Manage project financials for both geotechnical and CMT initiatives, including budget oversight and invoice preparation.
- Additional responsibilities may include, under supervision:
- Conduct site evaluations and boring/test pit layouts.
- Prepare drilling documentation and secure necessary utility clearances.
- Research local geological conditions.
- Supervise field operations performed by drilling and test pit teams.
- Conduct in-situ testing and specialized geotechnical field assessments.
- Classify soil samples and recommend laboratory testing.
- Assist in drafting proposals for geotechnical and CMT projects aimed at training and development.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a related field is required.
- No prior experience is necessary; we welcome recent graduates.
- While a professional license is not mandatory for this role, it is essential for career advancement.
- A valid driver’s license is required if driving for ECS Limited.
