Acclaim Multi-Specialty Group, Inc. (Acclaim) is a multi-specialty medical group practice comprised of over 500 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants that partner with JPS Health Network (JPS).
As the county health network and Level-1 Trauma Center, JPS has been serving the residents of Tarrant County for over 100 years. In addition to providing high-quality care, JPS is also an urban teaching hospital with a long history of training physicians and medical students. JPS offers 18 residency and fellowship programs, including the largest family medicine residency in the nation. JPS educates in tandem with the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Texas Christian University Medical School.
We are seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Provider to join our Gastroenterology team. The Department of Internal Medicine provides specialty services across the continuum of care at JPS. We currently have over 100 providers who work in a variety of different locations including the Main Hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and our Community Medicine Clinics.
The Department of Internal Medicine utilizes a robust APP onboarding program, inclusive of a 6-8 week training phase in which APPs are able to safely learn and drill the fundamentals of patient care, before their official patient templates open. Furthermore, this onboarding is followed by a thoughtful and well-calibrated template ramp up, such that APPs are given the time to learn and grown appropriately in their new role.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for managing chronic hepatology and gastrointestinal disease processes, ordering and interpreting labs, imaging, and procedures related to hepatology and gastrointestinal disorders. You will also have the opportunity to work with a large growing practice of physicians and APPs, with no call required (although opportunity for inpatient if interested).
We offer a competitive salary, 288 hours of annual PTO for full-time providers, $5,000 annual CME allowance, relocation assistance, malpractice insurance provided at no cost, and health, vision, and dental insurance options. Responsibilities:
Manage chronic hepatology and gastrointestinal disease processes
Order and interpret labs, imaging, and procedures related to hepatology and gastrointestinal disorders
Work with a large growing practice of physicians and APPs
No call required (although opportunity for inpatient if interested)
Requirements:
Degree in PA studies from an approved physician assistant program
Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing OR Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
Gastroenterology experience is preferred
At least 1 year of APP experience within Gastroenterology preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Must be comfortable working in a large public/county facility
Must be able to demonstrate working knowledge in area assigned, and competency in assessment techniques, diagnosis, and treatment processes that apply to the assigned medical specialty area
Must have good interpersonal, verbal, and oral communication skills
Must be self-directed and take initiative to develop and participate in community activities and medical outreach
Must be able to demonstrate patient-centered/patient-valued behavior
