Key Responsibilities:
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee the precise and timely movement of agricultural fertilizers and related products. Schedule incoming shipments via barge, rail, and truck to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
  • Collaboration with Transportation: Partner with the transportation team to determine optimal origination points for cost-effective fertilizer distribution. Manage consigned inventory in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Carrier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with transportation carriers to secure reliable and economical transportation solutions.
  • Inventory Management: Work closely with warehouse and inventory teams to maintain adequate stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment to meet seasonal demands.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Serve as the primary contact for internal customers regarding shipment statuses and delivery schedules, addressing concerns with promptness and accuracy.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Identify and resolve potential supply chain and transportation challenges, utilizing data analysis to implement effective solutions.
  • Best Practices Collaboration: Engage with team members to share best practices and pricing strategies, ensuring balanced inventory levels at supply warehouses.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities for enhancing logistics processes, analyzing performance metrics to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:
  • Strong background in supply chain and logistics management.
  • Agronomy experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Availability for overtime during peak seasons.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Dependable team player with a collaborative focus.
  • This is a drug-free workplace.

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Competitive salary with benefits including 401(k) matching, health insurance, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, and paid time off.

Work Schedule:
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Daytime hours, Monday to Friday
  • Overtime and weekend availability as needed
