We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor to join our team at Quinn Consulting Services, Inc. This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership and technical expertise in the field of transportation construction.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise a team of Transportation Construction Inspectors and provide oversight of contractor's work efforts to ensure quality control and contract compliance.
- Review and monitor contractual field work, including excavation, drainage facilities, roadway surfaces, and structures.
- Take field measurements of pay items and review placement of and witness tests associated with the quality control of construction materials.
- Oversee and enforce the installation of appropriate erosion and sediment controls, highway work zones, and traffic control devices.
- Maintain project records, including daily Project Site Activity (PSA) reports, materials notebooks, as-built plans, pay quantity records, and monthly estimates.
- Review and monitor Equal Employment Opportunity/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) documentation and compliance with Federal labor requirements/regulations for Federal-aid construction projects.
- Must qualify as a TCIS-1 or TCIS-2NECEPT Bituminous Asphalt Field Technician Certification.
- PennDOT Concrete Field Technician Certification.
- NICET Certification.
- Proficient in ECMS - Engineering and Construction Management System, PPCC - PennDOT Project Collaboration Center, and operation of computer equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret roadway, structure, and bridge plans and specifications.
- Application of mathematical formulas, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Maintenance of detailed records.
- Ability to communicate with the client, contractor personnel, and the general public in a professional and courteous manner.
The salary for this position is $19.37 to $33.82 per hour, depending on experience.
