Position Overview

The Marine Spill Response Corporation (MSRC) is a non-profit organization recognized by the U.S. Coast Guard as a premier Oil Spill Removal Organization. Established in 1990, MSRC specializes in providing essential oil spill response services aimed at minimizing environmental impact.

We are currently seeking qualified individuals for relief positions, including Oilers, Assistant Engineers, and Chief Engineers. Our flexible short-term assignments cater to your availability, whether you prefer to work for a few days or several weeks. With a fleet of 15 vessels operating nationwide, opportunities for travel are also available.

Essential Qualifications:

  • All candidates for our Engine Department must hold a valid USCG Mariner Credential with at least the following endorsements:
    • III/1- RFPEW
    • VI/1 - Basic Safety Training
    • Domestic Rating for QMED / Oiler
  • A valid USCG medical certificate (STCW) is mandatory.
  • A TWIC card is required.
  • Candidates must be open to travel and adaptable to flexible work assignments.
