Vocational Nurse for Special Education Programs

Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Student Programs and Services and the designated school nurse, the role involves delivering nursing and related services to students enrolled in programs for those with severe disabilities.

Maintain accurate records and document the execution of health care procedures effectively.

Individuals in this position operate under general oversight from an assigned administrator and collaborate regularly with a School Nurse, adhering to a well-defined set of established policies and procedures.


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to:

one year of full-time experience in a nursing care program or a program catering to the needs of individuals with physical disabilities.


LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse License.
Current CPR certification and Red Cross First Aid certification are required.
A valid California Class C driver's license is necessary. Candidates must be insurable by the liability carrier for the organization.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Applications will be evaluated by a screening committee. Interview schedules will be arranged for selected candidates.
