Job Summary

This position requires a skilled Nutrition Care Specialist to serve as a model of excellence in nutrition knowledge and kidney care at University Health. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with the renal healthcare team and others to facilitate collaborative planning for the treatment and follow-up of patients with nutrition-related disorders, including diabetes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with community partners and the healthcare team to identify educational and medical needs of individuals with ESRD, diabetes, and other nutrition-related conditions.
  • Ensure clients receive appropriate continuing care and prevention of long-term complications associated with dialysis.
  • Participate in outreach programs and activities, including support groups, screenings, training programs, and the development of educational equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess a current license from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Dietitians and have working knowledge of audiovisual equipment. Basic computer knowledge is required.
