Position Summary:

As an Electrical Estimator focusing on solar energy, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, you will be integral to our project management and estimation efforts. Your role will involve providing precise cost assessments, preparing competitive bids, and facilitating project coordination to ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate RFPs, project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to generate accurate and competitive cost estimates.
  • Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to gather quotes for necessary materials and services.
  • Employ estimation software and tools to enhance the bidding process and ensure accuracy in cost calculations.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to plan and implement electrical projects.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and alternative strategies to enhance project profitability.
  • Draft comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for electrical initiatives.
  • Manage bid submissions and follow up with clients to resolve any questions.
  • Participate in RFP and potential customer site visits as needed.
  • Local travel to job sites is required, with a company vehicle provided. (10% travel)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Demonstrated experience as an Electrical Estimator within the electrical sector, particularly in public contracting.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Familiarity with CA Prevailing Wage regulations.
  • Proficient in electrical estimation software and methodologies, including Parametric, Analogous, and Vendor Bid Analysis.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively tackle project challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams and clients.

Completion of a background check and drug screening is required.
