About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, including routine and specialized tests, to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Interpret test results and take appropriate actions, including requesting additional testing or consulting with physicians as needed.
  • Organize and prioritize workload to achieve efficiency and meet deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Exercise independent judgment and take initiative to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP.
  • BS in Medical Technology or Baccalaureate degree plus completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technology program.
  • Hospital laboratory experience preferred.
