Position Overview: This role is essential for enhancing operational efficiency and safety within the UAS program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine use cases while identifying effective flying techniques to optimize deliverables.
- Promote UAS safety and risk management policies to establish the client as an industry leader.
- Collaborate with the UAS Program Manager to facilitate corporate communications and stakeholder engagement.
- Train pilots on innovative techniques to enhance operational output.
- Assist in training new pilots for Part 107 certification, focusing on flying skills and internal protocols.
- Ensure adherence to UAS operational procedures and policies across all locations.
- Support the development and maintenance of the Business Continuity Plan to safeguard critical operations during disruptions.
- Facilitate the integration of new technologies into existing operational frameworks.
Required Skills:
- Possession of FAA Part 107 certification.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of UAS safety and utility infrastructure policies.
- Strong technical understanding of UAS capabilities and limitations.
- Familiarity with radio communication technologies relevant to UAS operations.
- Proficient in UAS IT components, including data management and integration.
Education & Experience:
- A minimum of a 2-year college degree.
- At least 2 years of experience managing drone operations is highly preferred.
- Experience in the utility sector is advantageous.
