Overview:
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the excellence of our software applications. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Evaluating both business and technical specifications for software solutions to confirm they are comprehensive, precise, and testable.
  • Acquiring in-depth knowledge of business operations and the software applications that support them, whether developed internally or externally.
  • Formulating test strategies for both new and existing software products.
  • Conducting various testing types to guarantee the delivery of high-quality applications, including but not limited to: functionality, deployment, performance, integration, and usability testing.
  • Monitoring test coverage, progress, and outcomes using software application lifecycle management tools.
  • Creating and maintaining frameworks that facilitate efficient, repeatable, and reportable test execution.
  • Automating test scenarios to minimize testing time and costs throughout the application lifecycle while enhancing test coverage and depth.
  • Assessing application quality (readiness for deployment) by collaborating closely with the development team to ensure prompt identification and resolution of issues.
  • Documenting and managing software defects within the software application lifecycle management system.
  • Establishing and monitoring development and quality standards.
  • Overseeing software quality concerns identified post-release, prioritizing issues, and collaborating with the development team for swift resolutions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and managing testing initiatives for enterprise-level IT projects across diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with runtime memory analysis and code profiling tools is preferred.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of IT applications and networking, including load balancing, Active Directory, and .NET applications.
  • Basic SQL skills with the ability to construct complex queries for data analysis.
  • Experience in data backup and restoration, as well as data modeling and manipulation to support testing scenarios.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of articulating complex concepts both verbally and in writing, and working effectively with developers, DBAs, and business analysts to enhance quality and efficiency in software development and release.
  • A strong commitment to quality, with the ability to communicate the implications and risks associated with software quality issues to development teams and leadership.
  • A background in development with at least 4 years of experience in programming or test automation development.
