About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our finance team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and facilitating the accurate preparation and filing of our company's state and federal tax forms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure timely submission.
  • Develop tax strategies to optimize business practices and ensure compliance with taxation legislation.
  • Conduct regular tax audits and prepare for external audits by coordinating with auditors and managing the audit process.
  • Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks.
  • Coordinate accounting staff and manage tax provision and tax compliance process.
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits.
  • Maintain tax balances on general ledger.
  • Prepare all tax papers on a regular basis and handle all information data requests.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or CPA certification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
  • Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
  • Strong ability to utilize and leverage financial and tax software.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, intensity, and involvement in fulfilling work.
  • Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software (e.g. TurboTax) and databases.
