Position Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for upholding exceptional cleanliness standards across all designated areas as per client contracts. Key responsibilities encompass supervising staff, conducting training sessions, facilitating inter-departmental communication, and managing staff schedules. This role serves as the primary problem solver for any issues that arise, fostering an environment that prioritizes satisfaction for clients, associates, and ownership alike. The Operations Manager will orchestrate team efforts to ensure timely and high-quality completion of tasks, emphasizing the importance of communication and organizational skills.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Actively participate in pre-shift meetings and regular employee gatherings to ensure adherence to procedures and compliance with client and company policies.
  • Define project scope and objectives for team members.
  • Ensure availability of necessary equipment and supplies, including cleaning materials.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of cleaning equipment.
  • Implement quality control measures to uphold company standards.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Oversee training for new employees to meet performance expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with client representatives and internal teams regarding project progress and feedback.
  • Disseminate important business updates and procedural changes to all staff.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient operations.
  • Establish reporting standards and documentation procedures.
  • Address technical inquiries and resolve issues collaboratively.
  • Manage requests for changes to project specifications in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor safety issues and report them promptly.
  • Enforce compliance with company policies and budgetary constraints.
  • Remain accessible for communication with clients and team members at all times.

Personnel Management:

  • Oversee the operations of various departments across multiple locations.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating employee performance.
  • Collaborate with department managers to create and manage employee schedules.
  • Monitor attendance and address any issues with staffing promptly.
  • Document employee relations matters and assist in corrective actions as needed.
  • Complete necessary administrative documentation for personnel changes.
  • Support special projects and employee engagement activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of six months experience in a related service field preferred.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a proactive approach to assisting others.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the day to inspect work areas.
  • Capable of bending, lifting, and carrying items as needed.
  • Ability to withstand varying temperature conditions in different environments.
