Parking Supervisor Job Description

Job Summary:

The Parking Supervisor will assist in managing the daily operations of the Parking Department's Valet Attendants, Gatekeepers and Security Team at JC Santa Monica in the absence of the Valet Parking Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Appearance: Ensure the presentable appearance of entrance, gate areas, and parking lot.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that the department equipment is working properly and supplies are stocked.
  • Parking Operations: Oversee the full operation of the parking lot including the Member and Guest check-in desk, address and resolve member/guest entrance issues, parking related issues and inform upper management.
  • Team Management: Manage valet attendants, gatekeepers and security staff by overseeing & assigning responsibilities, handling requests for valet services and training the team on different topics as needed.
  • Security Oversight: Assist in overseeing overnight security staff and reviewing reports.
  • Scheduling: Assist with formulating a weekly staff schedule.
  • Work Orders: Ensure work orders are processed for repairs.
  • Fleet Maintenance: Ensure the JC vehicle fleet is in top operational condition.
  • Training: Assist with the training of all new staff.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of previous supervisory experience in guest service or security related positions preferred.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Must have excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to cover overnight security shifts as needed.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual preferred.
