Join Our Team as a Medical Assistant Float

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in a float position. As a Medical Assistant Float, you will provide direct patient care in a variety of outpatient settings, including rooming patients, taking vitals, and administering vaccines and medications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a personal approach to direct patient care in outpatient settings
  • Room patients, take vitals, and obtain comprehensive medical histories
  • Administer vaccines, injections, and medications under the supervision of RN/Provider
  • Gather requirements from internal and external customers and provide information via phone, electronic messaging, and in person
  • Initiate and follow through on prior authorizations, referrals, and process sample medications, prescriptions, and refills as directed
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Certificate or Associates Degree in Medical Assisting
  • 1-year Medical Assisting experience (preferred)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA; RMA; NCMA; CCMA) certification within 6 months of hire
