DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is actively seeking Skilled Client Relations Specialists to enhance our Emergency Room front desk operations. We have positions available for swing and overnight shifts.
As a Client Relations Specialist in the Emergency Room, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and their pets during urgent situations. Your key responsibilities will include collecting vital information from clients, working closely with medical personnel to prioritize patient care, and addressing client questions, providing updates, processing payments, and efficiently resolving issues in a highly sensitive environment. This position demands outstanding customer service abilities in face-to-face interactions, along with some administrative responsibilities. You will also be instrumental in keeping clients informed and reassured throughout their ER visits.
Work Schedule: ER Client Relations Specialists operate on rotating 3/4 schedules with 10-hour shifts, ensuring a stable routine with consecutive days off each week. We are open to discussing schedule modifications to meet individual preferences.
Currently Hiring for Swing and Overnight Shifts
Compensation: Starting at $19.95-$22 per hour, with additional pay for specific shifts: 10% for overnight shifts, 10% for Saturdays, and 15% for Sundays.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of direct client service experience.
- Proven ability to manage diverse clients in emotional situations with patience and professionalism.
- At least one year of experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
- Preference for candidates with a background in veterinary or medical fields.
- Familiarity with desktop computers and software such as MS Word and Excel; willingness to learn veterinary-specific software.
- Typing speed of at least 45 WPM while engaging with clients.
- Ability to manage a multi-line phone system while interacting with clients in person.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, multitasking capabilities, and composure in a busy setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a team.
- Experience handling cash transactions.
- A combination of experience and education may substitute for specific requirements.
