Position Overview

MaineHealth Waldo Hospital is actively seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider to enhance our Surgical Associates team. This full-time role involves providing care for patients in both the outpatient surgical clinic and the operating room.

We are looking for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners who thrive in a dynamic environment, addressing a variety of medical conditions as part of a collaborative, patient-focused team. The selected providers will work closely with our surgical teams, which include General Surgeons, Anesthesia specialists, Orthopedic surgeons, and ENT professionals. The ideal candidate will conduct consultations in the clinic and assist with surgical procedures in the operating room.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Graduation from an accredited Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Maine NP or PA License and DEA registration.
  • Experience: Prior experience in the operating room is essential. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an NP or PA is preferred.
