Job Summary

The Tasmanian Government is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Ranger, working in the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania. As a Ranger, you will play a critical role in implementing field centre operation plans, carrying out works programs and projects to achieve the conservation and sustainable use of natural and cultural resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement field centre operation plans and carry out works programs and projects to achieve conservation and sustainable use of natural and cultural resources.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including community groups, land managers, and other government agencies.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor and report on the condition of natural and cultural resources.
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on conservation and sustainability practices.

Requirements

  • A Workplace Level 2 First Aid Certificate.
  • Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management or equivalent qualifications.
  • A current motor vehicle driver's licence.
