Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Construction Casualty Underwriter to enhance our Midwest/Central Region operations. This role is ideal for individuals eager to expand their expertise in the insurance sector, particularly within the large Construction account space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach to brokers and clients.
- Market to distribution channels, assess new business prospects, and apply underwriting expertise to select appropriate casualty risks.
- Manage and grow the Construction Casualty portfolio, which encompasses primary, lead umbrella, and excess coverage for both practice and project business.
Broker and Customer Relations:
- Establish and nurture broker and customer relationships throughout the Midwest/Central Region.
- Collaborate closely with loss control, claims, and legal teams to evaluate risks and deliver tailored solutions.
Qualifications:
- A seasoned Underwriter with 5 to 15 years of experience in Casualty underwriting, preferably with a focus on Construction.
- Established relationships with brokers and clients.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric, and collaborative environment.
