As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a complex book of business, developing business strategies, and analyzing risks to ensure the highest level of underwriting expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analyze complex risks and make recommendations on underwriting decisions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain relationships with key producers and brokers.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the highest level of underwriting expertise.
- Mentor and guide less experienced underwriters to ensure the development of underwriting skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of eight years underwriting experience.
- Advanced technical expertise, underwriting skill, and high level of knowledge of insurance and underwriting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
