Job Summary:

The Greenville County Schools is seeking a qualified Foreign Language Educator to join our team. As a Foreign Language Educator, you will be responsible for teaching high school students and providing them with a comprehensive education in a foreign language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with state and national standards for foreign language education.
  • Instructional Delivery: Deliver instruction to high school students in a foreign language, using a variety of teaching methods and materials.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional methods.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and safe classroom environment that promotes student learning and engagement.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure student success.
  • Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in foreign language education.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Certification: Valid South Carolina teaching certification in the subject area employed to teach.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a foreign language.
