We also provide undergraduate minors in English, creative writing, film studies, linguistics, and professional writing and information design.

Job Responsibilities
The Department of English is seeking to fill a fixed-term faculty position for a Teaching Assistant Professor specializing in composition.
This full-time, non-tenure-track role will have an initial appointment of up to two and a half years, with the potential for extensions.
The typical teaching load consists of four courses per semester, primarily face-to-face, with the possibility of online courses based on departmental needs.Depending on the candidate's qualifications and departmental requirements, additional courses or responsibilities may be assigned.
Participation in service activities for the university, community, and professional organizations is expected.Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications, and full-time positions include benefits.
Minimum Qualifications
A PhD in English or a related field, such as Rhetoric/Composition, Writing Studies, or Technical Communication, is required.
Degrees must be from accredited institutions.
Candidates should demonstrate expertise in writing program administration and experience teaching first-year writing and discipline-specific writing courses.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with online teaching methodologies and technologies is highly desirable.
