Main Purpose:

The Offshore Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all project management functions, including liaison with company and customer representatives, project scheduling, yard operations, and communication with management and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project contracts and ensure a thorough understanding of job specifications, material requirements, and completion dates.
  • Coordinate and direct project activities with operational personnel to ensure efficient communication and minimize delays, cost overruns, and fabrication errors.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, on-site inspectors, and management to ensure open communication regarding customer concerns, complaints, change orders, and follow-up actions.
  • Assist clients in developing work packs, associated budgets, and execution sequences.
  • Communicate with the Project Manager regarding material delivery, specifications, origins, and costs to ensure coordination of operational functions and timely receipt of materials.
  • Review and approve work schedules, material requisitions, percent completed schedules/reports, and requests from operations regarding specification requirements.
  • Work closely with project managers for production planning, scheduling, budgets, and progress.
  • Assist offshore management in developing schedules and maintaining schedules once offshore.
  • Lead large teams of personnel and third-party contractors as one cohesive unit.
  • Develop tracking criteria for key personnel and create a tracking form for such tracking.
  • Maintain positive customer relations, facilitating two-way communication between management and the customer.
  • Ensure material and equipment needs are properly planned and staged in advance to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Review schedule, budgets, and work order reports to provide feedback on project progress.
  • Lead safety initiatives and maintain knowledge of all company policies and procedures.
  • Foster communication, planning, and personal accountability among foremen, leaders, and craft personnel.
  • Ensure proper completion of JSA's and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Ability to pull measurements and draw/make drawings on ISO paper.

Requirements:
  • General understanding of OSHA/BSEE regulations for the construction/offshore industry
  • Good working knowledge of computers and software, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Valid TWIC card
Desirable Experience, Education, and Training:
  • 2+ years experience in leading an offshore crew
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) is a plus
Tools, Equipment, and Technology:
  • Office equipment and computer software
  • Microsoft Office Suite
Environmental Conditions:

80% to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc. They may also be exposed to fumes (paint, paint thinners, diesel or gas, etc.).
