Job Summary

As a Produce Sales Associate at Food Lion, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a high level of product quality in the Produce Department. Your primary focus will be on creating a positive shopping experience for our customers while ensuring that all products are displayed and merchandised according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
  • Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness and ensure that all products are displayed and merchandised according to company standards
  • Unload trucks for the Produce Department and ensure that all products are received and stored properly
  • Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO to maximize sales and minimize shrink
  • Maintain a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies, and standard practice
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron, complete with name badge, when on duty and maintain a neat and clean appearance
  • Successfully complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packet, and Training Aid courses
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
  • Ability to use technical information to solve problems
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations
