We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at Morehouse College. The successful candidate will provide professional-level administrative support to the Associate Provost for Research and Student Training, managing the AP's calendar, coordinating office activities, and serving as the office receptionist.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Associate Provost with day-to-day administration and management of SPRUST
* Coordinate and execute SPRUST events, including the Dream Makers Summit and the Summer Undergraduate Research Expo
* Maintain the SPRUST calendar and the AP's calendar, schedule meetings, and make appointments
* Assist with maintaining the SPRUST databases
* Prepare SPRUST correspondence and requisitions
* Provide administrative assistance to the Morehouse Institutional Review Board (IRB)
* Serve as office receptionist
* Supervise work-study students
Requirements
* High school diploma required
* Minimum of 3 years of previous work experience in an administrative position
* Previous project management experience preferred
Working Conditions
* This is an in-person position and the successful candidate will be required to be physically present in the office during business hours
* Must be able to open and close the office (if required) on a daily basis
* Frequent standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods
* Ability to use hands or fingers extensively to operate standard office and mobile equipment
* Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs as necessary
