Role Responsibilities:

This role involves serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Model-Based Systems Engineering for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) System.

The chosen candidate will analyze use cases and systems engineering documentation, including the definition of Epics and Features to fulfill client-requested functionalities.

Key tasks include supporting the creation and evaluation of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, and system engineering estimates. Additionally, the position will involve mentoring junior systems engineering personnel to enhance their skills within the department.


Essential Duties:
  • Demonstrate flexibility to address various tasks on short notice.
  • Collaborate with technical leads and product owners, interfacing with team members, management, and government clients to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

Additional Duties:
  • Adhere to DOORS processes and procedures.
  • Review technical product content and details.
  • Act as a technical liaison to MDA counterparts as needed.
  • Engage actively in Agile development efforts, including iteration planning and status updates.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must possess an active DoD Final Secret Clearance prior to commencement, with eligibility for a TS Clearance.
  • Experience with intricate command and control systems, mission analysis, performance analysis, and requirements management.
  • Proven expertise in developing models to drive solutions in complex systems, particularly with DoDAF and SysML methodologies.
  • Experience in creating key diagram types for logical and physical models that illustrate static and dynamic behaviors, performance, and interactions.
  • Extensive experience transitioning mature projects into MBSE.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Cameo (or Magic Draw), Enterprise Architect, and DOORs for managing multiple product baselines.
  • Ability to contribute to an integrated team focused on developing and maintaining the necessary baselines for the evolving C2BMC System.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Epic and Feature definition is advantageous.
  • Proficient in maintaining system and component baselines within a requirements management system.
  • Skills in generating functional, performance, and interface specifications to document and control the achievement of desired capabilities.
  • Knowledge of logical architecture modeling, interface definition, and cybersecurity concepts is highly desirable.

Desired Skills:
  • Foundational Systems Engineering experience, including roles in use case development and requirements solicitation.
  • Ability to analyze high-level needs using use cases/scenarios and relate them to requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to effectively present technical approaches and findings.
  • Experience implementing engineering plans within projects.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and network design is also preferred.

Security Clearance Requirement:

This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.


Work Environment:

This role requires onsite full-time work at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.


Work Schedule:

Lockheed Martin offers various alternate work schedules, including a 4x10 hour day schedule with three days off per week.


Compensation:

The annual base salary range for this position is $128,900 - $247,000, depending on various factors including scope, responsibilities, and candidate qualifications.
