Landscape Architect

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Landscape Architect/Project Manager to join our team at Ironwood Design Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering conceptual project vision, ensuring construction documents are completed to the highest level of detail, and participating in project meetings with clients and consultants for coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and team members to achieve project goals.
- Manage and distribute meeting minutes, track action items, and ensure responsible parties are aware of next steps.
- Utilize project management software to maintain project schedules and budgeted hours.
- Communicate project schedules with the Studio Director to ensure deadlines are met.
- Supervise junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are executing assigned tasks to the highest level.
- Provide QA/QC on projects, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Prepare planning and site designs consistent with Ironwood's commitment to sustainable design.
- Perform site analysis, including surveys of existing conditions and field measurements.
- Conceptualize across a broad range of scales and project types, from master-planned communities to urban environments at both planning and detailed site design levels.
- Ensure tasks are completed according to Ironwood's standards.
- Prepare contract documents, including details, sections, elevations, and schedules.
- Produce amendments, addenda, and bulletins.
- Assist in preparing adaptations and technical alternatives for project team review.
- Collaborate with and assist junior staff in the completion of projects.
- Utilize skills in design application software.
Requirements:
- Professional degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
- 2-10+ years of project management experience.
- Strong work ethic and desire to learn new skills in support of a growing planning and urban design practice.
- Strong conceptual thinking with ability to communicate ideas graphically and verbally.
- Strong proficiency with CAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, Rhino, and Lumion is a plus.
- Strong hand-graphics and rendering skills are a must.
- Design and technical experience at a consistently high level of accomplishment.
- Experience managing all phases of a project.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills—verbal, listening, and written—including client presentation skills.
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn.
- Collaborative and professional work ethic.
- Ability to manage and coach junior staff.
- Professional licensure is preferred but not required.
