Job Summary:The RN will provide public health skilled nursing procedures, including interviewing patients and responding to questions for TB Suspects and Cases, delivering, dispensing, administering appropriate medications and vaccines; performing screening tests; counseling clients on test results and public health issues; interacting with the family and resources involved with the patient's care; and documenting and maintaining patient records in ELR.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide public health skilled nursing procedures, including interviewing patients and responding to questions for TB Suspects and Cases
- Deliver, dispense, and administer appropriate medications and vaccines
- Perform screening tests and counsel clients on test results and public health issues
- Interact with the family and resources involved with the patient's care
- Document and maintain patient records in ELR
- Valid RN license with eligibility to practice in NC
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing that includes a public health rotation
- One (1) year of professional nursing experience
- Prior experience working in a department of public health
- Experience working in TB or communicable diseases
