- Field responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inspecting construction sites for erosion and sediment control measures
- Sampling and testing stormwater and non-stormwater
- Meeting with contractors and clients to review field findings
- Developing site-specific solutions for projects
- Occasional installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment controls
- Office responsibilities encompass:
- Tracking projects and organizing field data
- Managing project permits
- Preparing or modifying erosion/sediment control plans
- Coordinating with project teams on pollution prevention strategies

- Writing reports and entering data into state and client databases.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related fields, or equivalent military training and experience.
- QSP Certification and 10 Hour OSHA Training are preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, along with effective problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google applications (Gmail, Maps, Drive, Earth Pro), Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Basic laboratory handling and sampling skills, including calibration and troubleshooting of various meters and testing devices.
- Ability to navigate complex systems effectively.
- Capability to read and interpret plans.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and a strong safety record.
- All candidates must possess a clean driving record and a valid California driver's license with applicable insurance.
- Ability to perform occasional fieldwork using power and hand tools.
- SWPPP installation and maintenance requires the ability to:
- Lift 40 lbs. multiple times within a few hours
- Use a sledgehammer for driving wooden stakes into the ground
- Lift 80 lb. drain grates with assistance
- Perform sweeping and shoveling as necessary
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Travel throughout the Bay Area as needed.
