Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Process Operator to join our Operations team at Chemours. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of chemical manufacturing process units, monitoring and maintaining equipment, and troubleshooting related problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and maintain chemical manufacturing process units, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and control process variables, making adjustments as necessary to optimize production and minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, and troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals and improve process efficiency.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or refinery environment.
  • Working knowledge of lockout/tagout, confined spaces, and electrical safety procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, as well as overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant advanced degree or certification (e.g., Production Technology, Engineering Technology).
  • HAZMAT, Fire Brigade, and/or Emergency Responder training.
