Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemical Process Operator to join our Operations team at Chemours. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of chemical manufacturing process units, monitoring and maintaining equipment, and troubleshooting related problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and maintain chemical manufacturing process units, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and control process variables, such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates, to optimize production and minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve process-related issues and implement improvements.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of production data, including process parameters, yields, and quality control metrics.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing or refinery environment.
  • Working knowledge of lockout/tagout, confined spaces, and electrical safety procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant advanced degree or certification (e.g., Production Technology, Engineering Technology).
  • HAZMAT, Fire Brigade, and/or Emergency Responder training.
