Edwards, Inc. is a comprehensive industrial contractor specializing in construction, fabrication, and crane operations. We are currently in search of an Industrial Electrical Field Superintendent to oversee projects from our Spring Hope, NC location.
The Industrial Electrical Field Superintendent will be tasked with:
- Organizing, managing, and directing all on-site activities, ensuring optimal productivity of trades, efficient resource utilization, and effective subcontractor management.
- Offering technical guidance, including the interpretation of schematics and construction methodologies.
- Upholding safety standards and ensuring compliance with project protocols, safety programs, and operational guidelines. This role includes documenting any infractions and alerting project management.
- Engaging with client representatives and coordinating with other contractors.
- Executing additional responsibilities as directed by supervisors or project managers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Physical demands may include:
- Frequent walking or standing on various surfaces, which may be stable or unstable.
- Working in confined spaces and at heights.
- Ability to regularly lift weights exceeding 75 lbs.
- Strong hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
Key Requirements & Skills:
- Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial electrical construction, particularly in the Pharmaceutical, Energy, and Manufacturing sectors.
- Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Experience with Controls and Instrumentation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Exceptional communication skills and a strong commitment to safety.
- Proven ability to manage a crew of up to 10 personnel.
- Additional Competencies
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and Procore is advantageous.
- Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are a plus.
