CDL Class A Team Driver Position

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CDL A Team Driver to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a CDL A Team Driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering and/or unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and verify delivery of items with customers.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required and load customer returns onto the trailer.

Requirements:

  • Valid CDL-A license with 6 months commercial driving experience.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
