Radiologic Technologist Level III-MRI Specialist

This role encompasses responsible clinical and administrative work of varying degrees of difficulty and responsibility involving day-to-day tasks of an operating segment of the Radiology department in the delivery of radiological services.
Key Responsibilities- Operates x-ray equipment, develops images, and prepares radiological areas, equipment, supplies, and contrast materials.
- Supervises the delivery of radiological services, in accordance with established standards and procedures, for the service area or unit.
- Recommends changes and improvements relating to the delivery of radiological services.
- Participates in the development of training programs for radiographic personnel, ancillary personnel, and allied healthcare professionals.
- Performs special procedures, including diagnostic and interventional radiography (e.g., C.T., M.R.I., and Mammography).
- A valid license and current registration to practice Diagnostic Radiography as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH.
- Two years of Radiologic Technologist experience performing duties consistent with Assignment Levels I and II, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.
All Radiologic Technologists in Assignment Levels II and III shall receive a differential of $7,500 per annum to be cross-trained on different modalities of radiologic imaging and to be cross-assigned (once trained) to different imaging settings depending on patient volume and staffing needs within a facility.
