Job Summary
The Chief Communications Officer, Media Relations will drive the reputation of Amgen and its priority products, pipeline, and functions. You'll be responsible for developing and executing media relations strategies that showcase Amgen's innovative medicines and commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute media relations strategies to promote Amgen's brand and thought leadership in the biotechnology industry
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify key messages and develop compelling stories about Amgen's products and initiatives
- Leverage media relationships to secure top-tier media placements and optimize visibility for Amgen's brand
- Work closely with the Global Commercial Organization communications teams, Enterprise Content Team, and Functional communications leads to ensure alignment and seamless execution of communications strategies

Requirements
- Doctorate degree and 3 years of experience in communications or public relations, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven track record of success in leading media relations strategies and securing high-profile media placements
- Strong understanding of the biotechnology industry and communications environment, with experience working with pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology products and late-stage pipeline candidates
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to craft compelling messages and presentations
