Job Summary

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is seeking a highly skilled ERP Integration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and other enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain integrations between ERP systems and other enterprise applications using middleware tools like Boomi or similar tools.
  • Integration Administration: Administer the Boomi Integration platform, including process integration, process automation, maintenance, deployment/release management, security, integration risk identification, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Data Exchange and Integration: Develop data exchanges using various formats and protocols, including the development of APIs, data exploration, transformation, and mapping, and develop data integration architecture for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Testing and Automation: Build integration testing and automation, use source code control for development and management of software, and manage production deployments through controlled build and release methodologies.
  • Performance and Reliability: Continuously evaluate and ensure that integration solutions meet performance, efficiency, reliability, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with database architects and engineers to assist with developing data dictionaries and metadata definitions. Develop scripts and code for complex data mapping and transformations, and document them accordingly.
  • Project Management: Ensure timely delivery of integration projects and manage stakeholder expectations accordingly.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Actively participate in knowledge sharing and cross-training to ensure that the division has backups for all essential tasks and responsibilities.
  • Professional Development: Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in ERP integration and recommend improvements to existing processes and systems.
  • Compliance and Security: Adhere to all tenets of DART Data Governance and Security protocol.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience: Seven (7) years of in-depth hands-on experience in data integration technologies, specifically in managing/deploying/supporting APIs, and leveraging common frameworks such as complex mapping, scripting, and API management to include three (3) years' experience in Boomi and Boomi iPaaS Solution.
  • Skills: Proficiency in various data exchange formats and protocols, API development, data exploration, transformation, and mapping, and developing data integration architecture for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Physical Requirements: Pass a physical (medical) examination that includes a drug screen to operate DART non-revenue vehicles.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical and creative skills to find solutions to complex interpersonal, technical, and administrative problems.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of budget development/analysis, and operational cost factors.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of integration testing and automation, source code control, and managing production deployments (both Cloud and On-premise).
  • Communication Skills: Ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
  • Time Management: Ability to use his/her time effectively and efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Ability to learn quickly when facing new problems.
  • Teamwork: Ability to quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to make good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment.
