Automation Systems Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Automation Systems Specialist to join our team at Insight Global. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain equipment to support high volume manufacturing operations
  • Communicate relevant equipment status to associated manufacturing line leads and supervisors
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, determine corrective actions, and communicate with Manufacturing Engineers to resolve issues
  • Complete assigned and ad-hoc work orders in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Participate in process reviews for products as required
  • Engage in problem solving & brainstorming, both individually and as part of the team

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical and pneumatic knowledge and aptitude
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technician working with complex equipment
  • Experience working with automated assembly equipment
  • Experience working with high volume automated systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Strong drive and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with PLC's
  • Previous Robotics experience
  • Past experience in a leadership role

About the Role:

As a Sr. Automation Technician, you will gain in-depth product knowledge and maintain high equipment performance and uptime. You will also be responsible for a diverse mixture of activities with a strong emphasis on interacting with automated production machines.
