Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team in the Emergency and Critical Care department at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and provide for the patient's needs in the ER and critical care department.
- Participate in patient triage to maximize efficiency and provide client updates during triage.
- Assist in patient stabilization, including IV catheter placement, drug/fluid therapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Monitor patients and document in medical records.
- Perform diagnostics and treatments on patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
- Perform patient discharge and provide client education, including home care instructions, medication information, and monitoring.
- Induce and monitor general anesthesia/sedation procedures.
- Provide updates to pet owners on the status of their pet during the duration of their visit.
- Maintain open and clear communications with members of the patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication, and nursing care concerns.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an AVMA-Accredited Veterinary Technician Program preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to adapt to new situations and work as a team player.
- Must be flexible and able to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
