About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician I to join our team at Commercial and Residential Management Group (CRMG). As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for performing daily upkeep and cleanliness of our apartment communities, including landscaping, amenities, parking lots, and trash areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with essential maintenance duties, including repairs, carpentry, electrical, painting, landscaping, and plumbing tasks under the guidance of experienced maintenance technicians.
  • Perform daily upkeep and cleanliness of buildings, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of common areas.
  • Assist with pool maintenance and upkeep, including cleaning and testing of pool equipment.
  • Operate a pressure washer and other janitorial equipment, including manual and power tools.
  • Handle chemicals with close attention to safety rules and regulations.
  • Available for after-hours emergencies and willing to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation capable of transporting necessary tools and equipment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.
Requirements
  • One (1) year of experience in a Housekeeping Porter position or One (1) year of previous maintenance technician experience in property management for commercial or multi-family properties.
  • Janitorial experience preferred.
  • Possession of basic knowledge of landscaping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, drywall installation and repairs, and installation and repair of flooring.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Knowledge and experience using a vacuum cleaner and other janitorial equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand written and verbal communications and directions.
  • Understanding and administration of landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, Fair Housing Laws, and refraining from all illegal discrimination practices.
