Job Title: Diesel Mechanic/Technician I

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician I to join our team at Penske Truck Leasing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to repair and maintain vehicles
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet maintenance and repair deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
  • 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses, ASE Certification, and 608/609 certifications (preferred)
  • Experienced using all tools of the trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and hand and power tools)
  • Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred
