About the Role

This per-diem position offers flexibility and variety, as you will be working variable shifts at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. With a focus on eye surgery, you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in this specialized area of nursing.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as an Operating Room Nurse will include:

  • Providing direct patient care during surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process
  • Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and teamwork
  • Maintaining a clean and safe operating room environment, adhering to all infection control protocols
  • Participating in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and best practices in eye surgery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • An Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification
  • A minimum of one year of experience in nursing, preferably in an operating room setting
