About the Role

The Licensing and Placement Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children in our care. This position requires a unique blend of skills, including training, collaboration, and case management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training to resource homes, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality care to children.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the family support team to address case issues, resolve complaints, and ensure seamless communication.
  • Recruitment and Licensing: Recruit resource homes in line with contract obligations, ensuring compliance with licensing standards and regulations.
  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of children, providing individualized support and ensuring their needs are met.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field.
  • Experience: Two years of experience working with children and families in the social services field, including at least one year of experience in case management with child welfare.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in human services, social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field, and one year of experience in therapeutic foster care and licensing.
