Job Summary

The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the Modesto, CA facility, ensuring the production of high-quality products while maintaining effective, safe, and profitable processes. This role involves direct management of subordinate managers and supervisors, with a focus on continuous improvement and quality control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the panel line to produce a quality product in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Ensure adherence to current quality standards.
  • Develop and implement measures to improve production methods and equipment performance.
  • Ensure work orders are manufactured to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Assist in the implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems.
  • Effectively lead subordinate managers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate production records.
  • Monitor, coordinate, and assist with physical inventory counts.
  • Measure and improve on manufacturing variances.
  • Ensure correct data recording for all required reports.
  • Help resolve customer problems or complaints.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required.
  • Keep informed of all government rules and regulations and how they apply to the industry.
  • Measure and manage through Key Performance Indicators.
  • Aid in the development of staff.
Requirements
  • Formal education preferably Bachelor's degree or above.
  • 10 years manufacturing experience ideally in a continuous product environment.
  • Knowledge and practice of modern manufacturing techniques.
  • Knowledge of labor laws.
  • Knowledge of construction industry.
  • Knowledge of SAP sales order module - strongly preferred.
  • Ability to calculate figures/amounts.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to train and instruct employees.
  • Good analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.

Base salary starting at $130,000 plus annual bonus.
