Key Responsibilities
  • Community Cleaning: Ensure the overall cleanliness of our community, including common areas and suites.
  • Room Readiness: Prepare rooms for showing and occupancy by ensuring they are clean and ready for residents.
  • Policies and Procedures: Implement all housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization.

  • Health and Safety: Must be current on all vaccinations, including COVID-19, and receive CDC-recommended booster doses.
  • Responsibilities: Ensure that the attainment of Byron House's Mission Statements takes precedence over all decisions and actions.
Responsibilities
  • Community Maintenance: Keep our community clean and sanitized while adhering to all Byron House policies and procedures.
  • Outdoor Maintenance: Sweep outdoor patios and clean tables weekly.
  • Front Entry Cleaning: Clean the front entry door each morning and afternoon daily.
  • Common Area Cleaning: Clean common areas daily according to policies and procedures.
  • Dining Room Cleaning: Vacuum and wet mop the dining room after each meal and assist in wiping down dining room chairs and tables as needed daily.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and assist in ordering cleaning supplies and approved chemicals.
  • Room Preparation: Ensure that rooms are cleaned, set up, and ready to show within 24 hours of vacancy.
  • Communication: Check-in with the Assistant Director first thing in the morning to determine immediate cleaning needs.
  • Trash Removal: Take out trash in all resident units daily and common areas twice a day.
  • Lighting and Ash Tray Cleaning: Clean lights and ash trays according to policies and procedures.
  • Plant Care: Water and prune interior plants.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Suite Cleaning: Provide daily maid service to all suites, including making beds and emptying trash.
  • Weekly Suite Cleaning: Thoroughly clean suites weekly according to schedule or more frequently as required.
  • Resident Support: Address resident concerns or needs relating to housekeeping or laundry.
  • Event Support: Attend and assist with special community events.
