Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time Cook to join our team at Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Potomac. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing meals for our residents and assisting the Food Service Coordinator in managing food service functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meals for residents in a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
  • Assist the Food Service Coordinator in managing food service functions
  • Provide a setting that is clean, safe, and comfortable while serving food that is appetizing and nutritious
  • Strive to provide excellent customer service to residents and families

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation
  • Food Service Sanitation certificate, as per State/Local requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to punch/pull objects and lift/carry up to 50 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis
  • Must have full use of gross and fine motor, skills of the upper and lower extremities
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
