POSITION

As a vital member of the Sanstonehealth team, the Culinary Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the kitchen operations at our skilled nursing facility. This position involves not only meal preparation but also the management and guidance of Dietary Aides to ensure the highest standards of food service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and uphold sanitation standards within the kitchen environment.
  • Input resident dietary information into the system and manage meal ticket printing.
  • Foster positive relationships with inter-departmental personnel to ensure seamless food service operations.
  • Assist in the establishment of efficient food production lines to guarantee timely meal preparation.
  • Prepare meals according to established menus, ensuring they are appealing and nutritious.
  • Adhere to portion control procedures while serving meals.
  • Prepare food following standardized recipes and accommodate special dietary needs.
  • Plan and prepare meals in advance as directed.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Food Service and Dietitian on dietary modifications and staffing schedules.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a nursing home kitchen setting.
  • Proven ability to teach and supervise kitchen personnel.
