3. Implement safe food handling practices during meal preparation, including proper procedures for food storage and labeling.
4. Maintain accurate logs for refrigerator, freezer, and production sheets in a timely manner.
5. Uphold sanitation standards by maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen, including surfaces, equipment, and floors, following designated cleaning schedules.
Leadership Duties
In the absence of the Executive Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations and manage food service staff, ensuring high standards of resident satisfaction and addressing any food-related concerns that may arise.
Administrative Responsibilities
Engage in various administrative tasks such as menu planning, inventory management, ordering supplies, processing invoices, and handling payroll when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in culinary roles within the industry or full-service dining establishments.
- Strong communication skills in English and exceptional customer service abilities.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding team members.
- Proficient in following and preparing recipes.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and safe food handling procedures.
- Basic computer skills are essential.
